is a distinguished Yemeni novelist, short story author, screenwriter, and dramatist. Born in 1972 in Hudaydah, he earned his degree in literature from Sana’a University. Al-Ahdal is acclaimed for his contemporary literary style and socially critical works, some of which have been subjected to censorship in Yemen. By 2019, his literary portfolio included five novels, four collections of short stories, a play, and a film screenplay.
